Jewel Tones - a wedding at the House of Blues Chicago

Robyn and Darren's New Year's Day wedding at the House of Blues was definitely a night to remember. Everything about it captured the couple's unique style from the non-traditional venue to the live music and bold decor. The bride's glamorous fuchsia cattleya orchid bouquet and the jewel toned color palette complemented the tapestries and vibe of the Foundation Room.

Last October I had the privilege of designing the wedding flowers for a friend of mine from college. Jessica's only must-haves were mums and rich color. She and her husband to be had a perfect day and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Their intimate ceremony took place at the Björklunden Chapel on the campus of Lawrence University in Ephraim, Door County with a reception at the Whistling Swan in Fish Creek. My husband and I were so impressed with the dinner at the Swan that we ended up staying there for a weekend in February this year.
